Scientists now discover new evidence to reconstruct the ecology of A.D. 2021

4 mins, 2021

Since 2017, the government of Changping District in Beijing has implemented the "Leave Space, Increase Greenery" project, which aims to repurpose land cleared from the demolition of illegal structures to build urban parks, enrich cityscapes, provide green spaces, create forest landscapes, and enhance the plains forest ecosystem. The ultimate goal is to protect key ecological areas in Beijing and improve air quality.

The implementation of this policy has sparked confrontations between the government and citizens. It has raised concerns over the government's determination to demolish illegal buildings, the resistance from property owners, the potential consequences of forced demolitions, and debates surrounding property rights.

At the same time, this initiative raises questions about artificial forests. Will it be long-term benificial for the ecological environemnt, by planting of fast-growing, easy-to-maintain trees in orderly rows? In the context of global concern over environmental crisis, governments and communities worldwide are advocating for environmental preservation. This work focuses on the challenges encountered during the actual implementation of such projects and questions whether they truly achieve the intended goals of ecological preservation.

Scientists now discover new evidence to reconstruct the ecology of A.D. 2021 is a speculated tv news, reports people in the future use Sedimentary ancient DNA (a method to detect the DNA of plants from the ancient soil and use it to reconstruct the ancient ecology) to discover our age, which aims to question artificial forests, and to re-examine nowadays ecological issues, ecological policies. speculates on a future where the past is reconstructed through advanced scientific techniques. This film questions the artificiality of modern ecological policies and the long-term impact of human intervention in natural environments. The work serves as a critique of contemporary ecological practices and raises important questions about the true goals of environmental preservation.
